Walnut & Garlic Pate

Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans, this is a wonderful & wholesome combination which provides depth from the walnuts with complimentary flavours from the garlic and truffle salt. Thanks to The Urban Grocer for enlightening us on the versatility and ease of home made pate!

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- ¼ whole-wheat breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons Olive Branch olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- Handful of fresh parsley chopped
- Truffle salt- optional
- Toasted baguette slices for serving

Cooking Instructions:
- Combine roughly chopped walnuts with minced garlic and breadcrumbs. Add to a blender and pulse while drizzling in the olive oil. Add more (or less) olive oil as needed until the mixture is well blended and reaches a spreadable, paste-like texture
- Place the walnut and garlic spread into a bowl. Stir in lemon juice and fresh parsley, then salt and ground pepper to taste. If using truffle salt, add to taste
- Drizzle olive oil over the finished pate then serve alongside toasted baguette slices
