Last year at the BBC Good Food Show in London, we were lucky enough to meet the 2012 Masterchef finalist Andrew Kojima. Andrew popped by our stand and was very complimentary about our products, especially our Olive Oil Jam.

Andrew has worked in some of the world’s best restaurants including the 3 Michelin star Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea and the2 Michelin Star La Gavroche in Mayfair. He combines the discipline and techniques learned from top restaurants with his own imagination, flair and creativity, so we were eager to learn more about his skills and unique recipes.

As the conversation developed, Andrew told us about one of his signature desserts, a tartin topped with a sweetened black olive – wow – we thought, such intrigue that inspired us to experiment ourselves – the result, our brand new ‘Sweet Olive, Fig & Almond’ – a Kalamata Olive sweetened with a Fig Syrup and finished with almonds.

In early September, we were exhibiting at the Speciality Fine Food Fair and Andrew Kojima himself passed by. We had to get his feedback on our recipe and we’re pleased to say he’s given us his thumbs up!
