Olive Oil is more than just a foodstuff. Good quality Olive Oil is rich in Vitamin E which is great for your skin and excellent to keep you looking young. We’ve recently had a great review from the online product review blog The Thumbs Up. Their reviewer used our Oil as a moisturiser to relieve dry skin and it seems to have worked a treat!
Olive Branch Olive Oil is made from Olives that are cold pressed within hours of picking so the Olives don’t get a chance to disintegrate. This preserves the Vitamins and other goodness (such as Antioxidants) so you’ll get added benefits from the health properties in our Oil.
Here, we’ve listed 5 alternative uses for our Olive Oil – next week, we’ll give you another five!
1. Face and Body Scrub
Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil with 2 tablespoons of coarse sea salt. In a circular motion, scrub the olive oil mixture into your skin. Scrub more mixture into extra dry parts of the body (hands, feet, elbows and knees). Rinse off the mixture with warm water in the shower or bath. You will immediately notice smoother skin. This exceptional deep cleansing exfoliant supports the removal of impurities and excess oil whilst nourishing and moisturising the skin to give a radiant appearance.
2. Shaving
Olive oil can provide a safe and natural lubricant for a close shave. Rub in an extra teaspoon after washing your body or face once finished. It will leave your skin smooth and soft. Additionally, the olive oil will help prevent moisture by forming a protective barrier.
3. Face Mask
Olive oil is packed with vitamins and andioxidants and has a moisturising, anti-inflammatory and astringent action. The result is a direct improvement of appearance and a delay of skin ageing.
4. Olive Oil Bath
Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to your running bath water. Olive oil will moisturise your skin and leave it very smooth and soft.
5. Ear Ache
Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties which can be used to help relieve earache pain. Olive oil lubricates and relieves tenderness in the ear canal. Please note that this treatment is by no means a long-term solution to earache relief. Heat the oil for 30 seconds and simply pour a few droplets into the ear and rub into the ear with a cotton bud.
