What a weekend – yesterday was our first ever tasting event for our new product. We began the day with a trip to the local Redbourn Mill, to buy some freshly baked bread (a mix of sour dough and granary). After then packing our sample Oil, bread and a few bits of decoration, we headed over to Union Street (London) and set up our tasting area at the Urban Physic Garden.

The onsite Cafe (known as the Rambulance) was serving Tapas which had been prepared using Olive Branch Oil. The dishes included patatas bravas, a puy lentil & feta salad, and chorizo. The puy lentil was particularly impressive – it was dressed with chocolate mint (and Olive Oil of course!)

About an hour into the evening, Louis returned to have another taste. He was particularly complimentary and even offered to hand out postcard flyers to guests. We declined, only to be met with insistence and a true enough act of handing out the material. Louis returned to spark up a conversation about Japanese cuisine and ‘umami’ – this kid is destined for success in the food world.

All in all, we had a fantastic first event. We’d like to thank everyone who passed by our table and showed their support. We’re really overwhelmed with the feedback and are already looking forward to the next event. Watch this space for more information!!
