The 2016/17 olive harvest is complete – and our new harvest extra virgin olive oil is ready! We had a very late harvest this season due to the mild November in Crete – ironic as the temperatures shot right down with snowfall the week after our harvest!

Olives are a winter fruit and it is very important for the weather to drop as this is when they start to ripen. Ours were ready for picking just after Christmas so we spent the days in-between Christmas and New Year hand picking our olives and driving them over to the co-operative for pressing.

We’ve finished bottling now and we’re excited to say the new harvest is here for you to try!
